Lions Lose Two to Fayette

On Wednesday, Sept. 17 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions baseball team traveled to Penn State Fayette where they lost a conference double header, 3-2 and 13-3.
In game one, junior Jake Wojcik (Burgettstown, PA) pitched six innings and recorded five strike-outs and sophomore Ben Sladick (Western Beaver High School) led with two hits.
In the second game, junior Joe Scherer (Quaker Valley High School) pitched three innings and struck out three hitters, but a left-handed pitcher from Fayette held Beaver to three runs. The Lions lost the game with only four hits and three runs.
The baseball team will continue conference play on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they travel to Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The Lions are 2-2 in the conference and 2-2 overall.
