Baseball Team Finishes Third in PSUAC Playoffs
On Saturday, May 2 the Penn State Beaver Nittany Lions men's baseball team finished their season in third place in the PSUAC after a 7-3 loss to Penn State Brandywine in the tournament semifinals at Penn State University Park.
Beaver scored twice in the top of the first, but Brandywine scored four in the bottom of the first to take a 4-2 lead. Beaver scored their final run in the second, but Brandywine scored once in the fourth and twice in the fifth to take the win.
In the loss, freshman Dan Sonsini (Aliquippa High School, Aliquippa, PA) had four hits, including a triple. Beaver outshone Brandywine in hitting, 10-7.
Beaver finished the season at 17-14 in the PSUAC and 26-19 overall.
