Myrtle Beach, S.C. – After a tough loss to New Jersey City University (NJCU) on Saturday, the Penn State Schuylkill baseball team bounced back impressively on Sunday, sweeping a doubleheader against Penn State Beaver. The Lions secured a 3-1 victory in the opener and followed up with a commanding 13-2 win in the second game.​

Game 1: Penn State Schuylkill 3, Penn State Beaver 1

A late-game rally and strong pitching helped Penn State Schuylkill secure a close 3-1 victory in the opening matchup.

• Early Lead: The Lions struck first in the top of the first inning when RayJay Marmolejos reached on a hit-by-pitch, later scoring on an RBI single by Brenan Adams.
• Beaver Ties It: In the sixth, Penn State Beaver leveled the score at 1-1 on a sacrifice fly from Philip Betz.
• Schuylkill Responds in the Seventh: Hunter Sharrow delivered the game-winning hit with an RBI double, bringing home Dan Zimmerman to put the Lions up 2-1. Moments later, Sharrow stole home on a passed ball to add an insurance run.

On the mound, Brenan Adams pitched six strong innings, allowing just one run and striking out seven. Owen Zimmerman closed the door in the seventh to secure the win.

Game 2: Penn State Schuylkill 13, Penn State Beaver 2

The Lions' bats erupted early in game two, putting up 11 runs in the first two innings en route to a commanding win.
