MONACA, Pa. – Brittney Holland became Penn State Schuylkill's all-time career goal leader during Schuylkill's 8-0 win over Penn State Beaver, passing the previous mark of 35.
Schuylkill took control early with two quick goals from Grace Fenstermacher (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Nativity BVM), giving them a comfortable 2-0 lead. Four different Schuylkill players scored in the opening period, as Ivy Daniels (Wiconisco, PA / William Valley Area), Zoë Gannon (Leesport, PA / Schuylkill Valley), and Olivia Dress (Schuylkill Haven, PA / Schuylkill Haven) each found the back of the net with just over half the period remaining.
Brittney Holland (Andreas, PA / Lehighton Area) and Nancy Le (Harrisburg, PA / Central Dauphin East) continued Schuylkill's dominance in the second half, scoring back-to-back goals within the first five minutes. The final goal came at the 74:25 mark, when Gannon converted a penalty kick. Schuylkill dominated the shot count with an overwhelming 60-2 advantage, and Kay Lee Morgan (Hegins, PA / Tri-Valley) saved both of Beaver's shot attempts.
Schuylkill (4-4-1 overall, 3-1 PSUAC) will remain on the road for their next matchup against Penn State New Kensington.
