Crusaders Improve to 3-2 With Win

Front Royal, VA – Christendom College Women's Soccer Team took in the 5-0 win at home against the Penn State Beaver Lions this past Saturday, 9/10.

The Crusaders controlled the majority of the game by maintaining possession and controlling the middle of the field. The team's strong play led to a goal by Georgia Francis (Sophomore/Front Royal, VA), which put them up 1-0 on the Lions. Before the close of the first half, Colleen Kosten (Sophomore/Warrenton, VA) put in a goal to give the Crusaders the 2-0 advantage.

Despite an early second half push from the Lions, the Crusaders continued to dominate the game. Catherine Thomas (Sophomore/Corpus Christi, TX) added to Christendom's lead with the first goal of the second half. After playing the first half in net, Miranda Keller (Sophomore/Harrisburg, PA) in the field and she buried a PK to put the Crusaders up 4-0. The Crusaders controlled the rest of the game, and they added another goal from Megan Lovar (Freshman/Odenton, MD). The Crusaders held the Lions scoreless to give them the 5-0 shutout.
