In Sunday's tri-match, the women's volleyball team defeated Penn State Beaver and Harford Community College to clinch the #1 seed in the PSUAC West. Sunday was also the final regular season home match for Kimmy Harker, Rachel Manikowski, Alyssa Roberts and manager Alexandra Horst.
Game 1: Penn State Beaver
Mont Alto won in straight sets (25-12, 25-21, 25-15) over Penn State Beaver in PSUAC competition. Gracie Vaughn (12 kills) and Kylee Gooding (9 kills) paced the offense for Mont Alto. Kylie Denlinger assisted on 28 opportunities. The defense was led by Rachel Manikowski with 18 digs and Kylie Denlinger who added 12 digs. Gracie Vaughn had three solo blocks and one assisted block in combination with her offensive output.
Game 2: Harford Community College
Mont Alto rolled over the momentum gathered from the first game and took the first two sets over Harford 25-14, 25-14. Harford stormed back and took set #3 25-23. Mont Alto made the appropriate adjustments to pull away with a 25-15 win in set #4. Leslie Huckle led the squad with 15 kills. Kylee Gooding chipped in 12 kills and Gracie Vaughn tallied six. Setter Kylie Denlinger led the team with 32 assists. The defensive output was strong as Rachel Manikowski tallied 31 digs, Alyssa Roberts added 19 and Kylie Denlinger had 17. Caroline Blickley accumulated three solo and two assisted blocks on defense. Gracie Vaughn recorded two solo blocks and one assisted block as well.
