New Ken falls to Beaver, 3-1

Beaver, PA- The Lady Lions suffered a loss (3-1) as they traveled to PSU Beaver this evening for a conference showdown.

New Kensington fell behind early after two sets (25-20, 25-20), but pulled it together in the third (25-19). Unfortunately, the Lady Lions could not capitalize, dropping the fourth set by score of 25-18.

Two Lady Lions were successful on half of their total attacks. Sophomore Elliot Ferrent (Punxsutawney, PA) finished with eight kills on 16 attacks and junior Hannah Pastor (New Kensington, PA) chipped in five kills on 10 attacks.

Sophomore Kayla Unger (Carlisle, PA) continued her sharing ways, leading New Kensington with five assists on the night, while Emily Lewandowski chipped in 2 helpers of her own.

The Lady Lions will look to get back in the win column this Tuesday, October 18th, as they travel to Westmoreland County Community College for a nonconference match.
