Monaca, PA – New Kensington started off strong with scoring 2 runs in the first inning from singles from freshmen Kiera Mack (Penn Hills, PA) and Antonia Velasquez (Aliso Viejo, CA). The game went scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning where Beaver scored the only run of the game. New Kensington secured the win with 5 runs in the last two innings. New Ken took the win 7-1 over Beaver.
Senior Molly Collins (Verona, PA) and Kiera Mack both hit doubles and went 3 for 4 at the plate. Mack led the game with 3 RBIs and 1 stolen base.
Freshman Addison Gregg (Carlisle, PA) threw a complete game for the win with 3 strikes out and only given up 1 earned run.
