Penn State Beaver 75, Penn State Mont Alto 49

Following a 33-28 halftime deficit, Penn State Beaver outscored Mont Alto 42-21 in the final two frames as Mont Alto dropped a game to the top team in the PSUAC West Division on Saturday afternoon by a final of 75-49. Autumn Fischer scored 16 points on 7 of 13 shooting to pace Mont Alto in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-Following a Daniela Guzman jumper to go ahead 10-6, buckets by Shanez Morales and Autumn Fischer tied the game at 10-10 for Mont Alto. 

-Mont Alto led 20-16 at the end of the first half on a layup from Dariana Perez, Emery Black converted on a layup to push the Beaver deficit to two points.

-Both teams would trade buckets in the beginning of the second quarter, with the score 26-26, Beaver would score the next seven points to go ahead by seven.

-Mont Alto held strong towards the end of the second quarter and trailed 33-28 at the half.

-Beaver upped the defensive pressure in the third quarter, forcing 15 Mont Alto turnovers in the quarter and outscored Mont Alto 21-11.

-Kaleigh Hartman and Dariana Perez scored all ten Mont Alto points in the final quarter as Mont Alto fell to Beaver 75-49.
