Bay Path Drops a pair of Games on Day 3 of Myrtle Beach Trip

Game One Recap:

Bay Path University Can't Catch Up To Penn State- Beaver

 
Bay Path University fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-5 loss to Penn State- Beaver on Wednesday.  Penn State- Beaver scored on a triple by Thomas in the first inning, a single by Speed in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a stolen base in the second inning.
 
In the first inning, Penn State- Beaver got their offense started when Thomas tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
 
Thomas earned the win for Penn State- Beaver. The hurler surrendered five runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.
 
Isabella Ferrara took the loss for Bay Path University. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and eight runs while striking out three.
 
Bay Path University tallied eight hits on the day.  Madisyn Vera and Caroline Austin all managed multiple hits for Bay Path University.  Vera went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Bay Path University in hits.
 

Game Two Recap:

Bay Path University Falls to Penn State- Hazelton 15-12

 
Bay Path University lost the lead late in a 15-12 defeat to Penn State- Hazelton on Wednesday.  The game was tied at eight with Penn State- Hazelton batting in the bottom of the fifth when Lobb singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
 
Despite the loss, Bay Path University did collect 17 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Penn State- Hazelton had 18 hits on the way to victory.
 
Penn State- Hazelton took an early lead in the first inning when Rabuck singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
 
After Bay Path University scored two runs in the top of the second, Penn State- Hazelton answered with two of their own.  Bay Path University scored when Taylor Suffoletto singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.  Penn State- Hazelton then answered when Rabuck homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
 
Bay Path University notched four runs in the sixth inning.  Brooke Evanchak, Madison Tessmer, and Suffoletto each drove in runs during the inning.
 
Brogan was the winning pitcher for Penn State- Hazelton. Brogan allowed 13 hits and seven runs over four and a third innings, walking one.
 
Emma Scheeren led things off in the pitcher's circle for Bay Path University. Scheeren surrendered 14 runs on 17 hits over five innings, walking one.  Grace Ramsey threw one inning in relief.
 
Bay Path University scattered 17 hits in the game.  Olivia Stebbins, Scheeren, Ansley Morrison, Evanchak, Ramsey, and Caroline Austin each collected multiple hits for Bay Path University.  Scheeren and Stebbins each managed three hits to lead Bay Path University.
