Beaver Dominates Penn State New Kensington For the Second Time This Season
The Penn State Beaver women's volleyball team traveled to Penn State New Kensington on Tuesday, taking home what may have been one of their most impressive wins of the season.

New Kensington, Pa -- The Penn State Beaver women's volleyball took to the road to take on conference opponent, Penn State New Kensington. The team looks to continue to do well again against New Kensington, as Beaver cruised to an easy victory in their first matchup this season. The Beaver team comes into this game with a 6-2 conference record, as they are in a good position currently for the upcoming playoffs.
The Beaver women played an outstanding game on the road, as the first set started off with Beaver taking over as quickly as possible. After winninng the first set by an impressive score of 25-11, they stepped up their game and looked to outright dominate in the second set. Due in part to great play from the service line, in which all but 1 server in the game for Beaver registered an ace, Beaver controlled this game from the second set until the end of the match. With a second set score of 25-8 and a third set score of 25-4, Beaver absolutley dominated New Kensington, playing what was arguably their best game this season.
Beaver played hard from start to finish in this match, taking home the win in three sets. The team was led by Senior Roxy Kie, who had 4 kills and 15 assists, and Sophomore Morgan Cannister, who had 4 kills and 5 aces in this one. Beaver really played well in this match and look to carry this momentum over to their next game against Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday, October 8. Game time for this big conference match is set for 12 pm, and there will be a free rally towel giveaway for all fans.
