Three Athletes Earn PSUAC Player of the Week
Three young women rank among the PSUAC's best this week.
Monaca, PA -- Three student-athletes earn PSUAC Player of the Week honors this week.
Representing women's volleyball is sophomore, Jenna Petrucci. In 15 sets through the week, Petrucci put down 58 kills with two service aces and 29 digs to elevate her team to a 4-1 PSUAC week. Through the five contests, Petrucci completed a hitting percentage of 44%.
Representing women's soccer are freshmen, Brittany Zahn and Morgan Stillwagon. Zahn stopped seven shots to put her save percentage to 87.5% in the 9-1 triumph over Greater Allegheny.
Stillwagon assisted her team in a pair of PSUAC triumphs. In a 9-1 blowout over Greater Allegheny, Stillwagon netted two goals and two assists to boost Beaver to their first win on the week. Through the 3-0 shutout over Mont Alto, Stillwagon posted two goals and an assist to guard the shutout. On a total of 14 shots, Stillwagon marked eleven points, four goals and three assists to boost Beaver to an overall record of 4-4, 3-1 PSUAC.
