Lady Lions dominate 9-1 over Penn State Greater Allegheny
Beaver win 9-1 against PSU Greater Allegheny

Unionville, PA - Beaver wins big against Penn State Greater Allegheny, 9-1.
The ladies of the Penn State Beaver Women's Soccer team gave their all playing against PSU Greater Allegheny. The match was an eventful one as the Lady Lions of Beaver got a big win.
The first half kicked off with a goal from Jessica Spina (Jefferson Hills, PA/ Thomas Jefferson) in the 14th minute assisted by Marissa Bucklen (Hookstown, PA/ Beaver Falls). Cortney Harden (Beaver Falls, PA/ Riverside) followed with a second goal, unassisted in the 24th minute. Beaver's momentum kept going throughout the first half with another goal, Beaver's third goal of the game was by Morgan Stillwagon (Freedom, Pa/ Ambridge) assisted by Spina in the 31st minute. To end the first half, Ella Bose (Monaca, PA/ Beaver Falls) scored Beaver's fourth goal with an assit by Harden 2 minutes before the half.
As the second half began, Beaver was eager to get back at it. Edisa Bukuru (Pittsburgh, PA/ Brashear) scored in the 58th with another assist from Spina. However, Greater Allegheny were quick to respond a minute later with a goal. But that didn't stop Beaver from scoring in the 71st minute when Spina scored once again with an assist from Stillwagon. As the game progressed, so did Beaver's scoring efforts. Stillwagon responded minutes after Spina's goal giving Beaver their 8th goal of the match, assist by Harden. Taja Finley (Aliquippa, PA/ Beaver) joined the action with a goal of her own in the 77th minute. The match's final goal was seen in the 84th minute by Sadie Stillwagon (Freedom, PA/ Freedom) with a third and final assist from Harden.
The number of shots were outstanding, leading the category were both Stillwagon and Spina with 6 shots each. Stillwagon with 2 shots on goal and 2 goals herself and Spina with 4 shots on goal and 2 goals. Each both had 2 assists as well. Following in assists was Harden with 3 in the match along with 5 shots and 4 shots on goal with 1 goal. Bukuru had 2 shots with 1 shot on goal and a goal of her own.
Beaver's next match is Saturday, October 3, against Penn State Mont Alto at 2 p.m.
