Bio

Carl Yanek enters his first season as the Head Wrestling Coach. He came to the campus from Moon Area Middle School, where he was the Head Wrestling Coach for the past year.

Prior to coaching at Moon, Carl held head coaching positions at Fort Cherry High School, Central Valley High School, West Allegheny High School and South Fayette High School.  Bringing 20 years of high school coaching experience, Yanek has coached 11 state qualifiers and 5 state place winners. 

As an athlete, he was the 1987 WPIAL Champion and state qualifier.  He holds a college record of 91-56-1 and was a regional champion as well as a Division II National Qualifier in the 1990-91 season when he wrestled for California University of Pennsylvania.

Carl resides in Imperial, Pennsylvania with his family and currently works full-time at World Wide Flight Services in Moon Townships as a THS Supervisor.
