Wrestler's Close Inaugural Season at PSUAC/USCAA Tournament
The team closed out their first season with Fabian Jackson and Wesley Mummert making a strong showing.

State College, PA - The Wrestling Team of Penn State Beaver closes their first season of competition Sunday at the PSUAC/USCAA Tournament.
At the 149 class, Dylan Winkle (Aliquippa, PA/Hopwell) faced Jake Durbin of Penn State Fayette for his first match of the day where he lost 5-0. Moving into the losers bracket, he went on to face Matt Lago of Penn State Greater Allegheny losing by tech fall 16-1 at 6:45.
Bobby Tempalski (Hookstown,PA/Hopewell), wrestling at 157, took on Will Sexton of the Apprentice School in his first match where he lost by fall at :53. In his next match, he faced Mike Fenstanmatcher of Williamson Trade, who handed him his second loss of the day.
Senior, Keagan Donnan (Georgetown, PA/South Side), competing at 174 faced Patrick Coleman of Penn State Dubois in his first match. Donnan lost 5-0. Moving into the losers bracket, Keagan was awarded a bye and then faced CW Sorey of the Apprentice School for a 5th place bout, where he lost by injury defeat.
At 197, Fabian Jackson (Burlington, NJ/Brick Memorial) took on Chike Okolo of Penn State DuBois in his first bout losing by fall at 5:52. In his next match, Jackson battled for third place against Jasper Ocker of Penn College losing by fall once again at 5:22.
Wesley Mummert (York, PA/Red Lion) gave the team a win in his first bout against Mike Carta of the Apprenctice School winning 13-8. Unfortunatlely, Mummert lost his second bout to Ian Jone also of the Apprentice School, losing by fall at 1:26. In his last match of the day, Mummert again faced Carta for true fifth place where he defeated him for a second time, winning 8-6.
The team finished ninth overall with a total of 17 points.
