Monaca, PA - The Women's Basketball team was back in play at home for the 2nd round of the PSUAC Playoffs. Beaver has had an incredible season so far going undefeated at home and only losing three games during the regular season. The second quarter was the first of three to be in Beaver's favor. Beaver managed to out up 12 points while Lehigh scored 11. This was not enough for Beaver to take the lead from Lehigh, and at halftime they were down by 7 points.
The third quarter was again in Beaver's favor. They were still not able to take the lead away from Lehigh, but they managed to hold them to only scoring 8 points. Beaver was only down by 5 going into the last ten minutes of the game. The fourth quarter is when Beaver really started to pick up. They managed to close the gap Lehigh had, and towards the end Beaver had tied the game. The last few minutes of th game remained neck-in-neck. With just under a minute remaining, Lehigh was up by on point. With 16 seconds remaining, Beaver had taken their first lead of the game when the score sat at 43-42. With just a few seconds remaining, Lehigh scored the winning bucket and ended Beaver's winning streak at home and chances of going to the championship. Lehigh Valley won the game 44-43.
