Beaver Gets 34 Point Win Over DuBois
Monaca, PA - The Women's Basketball team here at Penn State Beaver was back in action defending their home against Penn State DuBois. So far this season, Beaver has remained undefeated at home so far, and kept that going in today's game.
The first quarter of the game, DuBois came out getting a quick bucket. Beaver had a hard time getting a basket, but once they did, they kept it rolling for the rest of the quarter and ended up scoring 25 points in the first 10 minutes while holding DuBois to 11 points. The second quarter went much like most of the first. Beaver put on a show and played amazing offense while holding it down on defense. Beaver scored 21 more points and allowed DuBois to only score 13. Beaver closed the first half of the game with 46 points while DuBois had 24.
Beaver continued to dominate in this game. The energy was high for the rest of the second half of the game. Beaver used this time to work on executing offensively and defensively. Beaver finished the third quarter with 19 points and held DuBois to scoring 10. The fourth quarter was another one filled with tons of energy. The players on the bench for Beaver were hyped for their teammates on the court. Beaver played amazing basketball. Beaver finished the game with 84 points and held DuBois to 50. Beaver also finished this game with 20 assists as a team. Beaver also had their second highest scoring game of the season.
Freshman Makitah Logan (Pittsburgh, PA) played big minutes for Beaver tonight off the bench. Logan finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Junior Kyra Seggewiss (Calgar Alberta, Canada) was also a key player finishing with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals. Junior Aaliyah Booker (Atlanta, GA) came of the bench to score 11 points. Sophomore Kiera Baker (Houston, TX) finished this game with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
