Lady Lions fall short to Fayette 61-76
Beaver comes up short on road against Fayette
Fayette, PA - The Lady Lions traveled away today to play Penn State Fayette in a conference matchup. Beaver came out and took control of the game with a tight lead of 11-10 ending the first quarter. The tables quickly turned as Fayette ourscored Beaver 22-12 in the quarter, taking a lead of 32-23 going into half. The third was a much more even fight of 16-16 points scored by both teams with Fayette still leading 48-39. The fourth quarter was an all out scoring bout. Beaver scored a tremendous 22 points lead by Sophomore Arbri Gillis with 9 points and Senior Jimya Chambers with 8 points for a combined 17 of the 22. Although the Lady Lions had a terrific quarter, Fayette put up an even bigger 28 points, closing out the game 76-61.
Senior Jimya Chambers had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Sophomore Arbri Gillis had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal. Freshman Kyra Seggewiss had 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.
