Beaver takes 2nd straight loss on road to Penn State York 70-65
Lady Lions lose second away game on road
York, PA - Beaver took on Penn State York to wrap up away weekend. The Lady Lions came out fighting hard taking an early 5-1 lead in the first, finishing out the quarter 19-16. York looked to turn things around late in the second, taking a 31-29 lead going into halftime. Beaver wasn't willing to give up and came out fighting in the third, scoring 21 points in the quarter led by Senior Jimya Chambers, Senior Alexis Cross, and Freshman Kiera Baker. The quarter ended tied, 50-50. The Lady Lions took the lead early in the fourth, going up by 6 points in the first 2 minutes however York went on a 8-0 scoring run the next 2 minutes. The game came down to the wire as Beaver began to get into foul trouble in the final minute of play, leaving Beaver to lose 70-65.
Freshman Kiera Baker had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Senior Jimya Chambers had 11 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Senior Emily Keener had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal. Senior Mikayla Womer had 10 points and 5 rebounds.
