Beaver Goes 0-2 on the weekend

Monaca, PA -- Beaver battles from behind for the entire game and fell by a final score of 86-59.
Beaver fell behind quickly, trailing 15-1 halfway through the first quarter and never could recover. At the end of the quarter, they trailed 26-10, breaking into the double digits with just second lefts on the clock.
In the second, the Lady Lions Brittany Jackson and Tara McFadden started to come alive on offense, combining for 11 points as Beaver was only outscored by one in the quarter, 17-16. But that still left them trailing 43-26 going into halftime.
Just like in the first half, the ladies struggled in the third to generate offense but then again were only outscored by one in the fourth. The Lions sturggled to maintain possession today, turning the ball over 28 times resulting in 34 points for Johnson and Wales off of the turnover. Combined with the low shooting percentage, Beaver fell by a final score of 86-59 to drop them to 0-4 this season. Jackson led the offense for the Lady Lions with 13 points and 10 rebounds, her second consecutive double-double, also having a stand out game was Cheyenne Lopez who scored 14 points with 4 rebounds, her highest scoring game of the season.
The Lady Lions still have one game remaining before Thanksgiving break, heading to Carlow University on Tuesday, November 21st to face their former head coach, Tim Moore.
