Beaver Girls Roll to Fourth Straight Win
The Penn State Beaver women's basketball team squared off against Penn State Schuylkill, finishing with this fourth straight win by a final score of 76-54.

Monaca, Pa -- The Penn State Beaver women's basketball team took on the women of Penn State Schuylkill, winning 76-54.
The Beaver Lady Lions come into their game against Penn State Schuylkill looking to extend on an impressive three game win streak. Beaver has looked very good early on this season as they've played hard in every game, earning themselves a 4-2 record to start the season. The team has struggled a little bit as of late with ball control and look to improve in their efforts against Schuylkill.
While this game started out as a slow back and forth matchup between these teams, it quickly turned into a game that Beaver had total control of. Beaver came out slow in the first quarter, taking a quick lead that they slowly let diminsh. However, the second quarter showed a mcuh more focused Beaver team that played very hard to capitalize on Schuylkill's turnovers and pull out to a 39-23 lead going into the half.
The second half of play showed a lot more of the dominant Beaver team from the second quarter, as they had all of the momentum in this one and used it to their advantage. Beaver had great success in this game in forcing turnovers, as this helped to not only slow down the Schuylkill team, but also create chances for Beaver. As the fourth quarter came to and end, Beaver had a firm grasp of this game as they took home the win by a score of 76-54.
Win their win over Schuylkill, Beaver now sits at 2-0 in conference play with a 5-2 overall record. This win stretches the team's win streak to four games now, and the team seems to show no signs of slowing down. With the victory over Schuylkill, Beaver's head coach Tim Moore has tallied his 100th win since taking over the program. The girls were lead in this game tonight with another stellar performance by Senior Cassandra Flowers (Pittsburgh, PA / Westinghouse) who tallied another double-double this season with a team high 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists. The team will play next on Tuesday, December 6, at home against Penn State Du Bois. Game time is set for 6 pm.
