Women fall at Ohio Eastern
Beaver loses by a final score of 90-82.
St. Clairsville, OH -- In their first game of the spring semester, the Lady Lions traveled to St. Clairsville, Ohio to take on Ohio University Eastern. In their match-up earlier this season, Beaver defeated Ohio Eastern at home by just seven points. Coming off of Christmas break, Coach Moore knew the first game back would be a challenge.
In the first half Beaver outsocred the Lady Panthers by ten points leaving the score at half time 54-44. Leading the way were Morgan Kurtz (Washington, PA/Trinity) with 20 first half points and Mason DePetro (Coraopolis, PA / Cornell) with 11 in the half.
The second half of play saw a shift in momentum as Ohio Eastern out shot the Lady Lions winning by a final score of 90-82. Leading the scoring efforts in the second half for Beaver were Khalia Adams (Washington, DC/Phelps) with 11 in the second half giving her a total 21 in the game and DePetro who added 7 to her total giving her 18 on the night. The high scorer of the night was Kurtz, who finished with 23.
This loss gives Beaver an overall record of 5-6 and they will return to action at home on Tuesday, January 14th when they host Carlow University for a 6:00p.m. tip-off.
