Softball Expands Recruting Class to Texas
Brittany Garza, from La Feria, Texas, is the latest addition to the Lady Lions roster for the 2016 season.
A four sport letter winner, Brittany has 4 varsity letters in softball, 2 in cross country and track as well as 1 for basketball she has also played volleyball. She has been a Regional Cross Country Qualifier in 2011-2012, Honorable Mention 2011-2013 for softball, First Team All District Outfielder in 2013-2014 and a First Team All District Outfielder in 2014-2015. As a softball player, this season she had 6 RBI's, 1 home run, 9 stolen bases and 3 triples in the six games her team won this season.
In the classroom Garza stands out holding a Certificate for Ignite Science. She is a Tech-Prep Scholar as well as a Certified Security Guard. She has also earned AB Honor roll and Student of the Month this past March.
She enjoys being involved in the Law Enforcement Club as well as working as the student trainer for football. She is also an Art Club Exhibitor for the Annual Live Stock Show, a Relay for Life participant and a Security Guard Intern for football games.
In her free time Brittany enjoys fishing, drawing and playing sports such as football, basketball and softball she. She also does volunteer work at Animal Shelters and helps coach TAFF Summer Track.
