Lady Lions Fall To Worthington Scranton
Penn State Beaver loses to Worthington Scranton

Monaca, Pa--- This afternoon Penn State Beaver hosted Penn State Worthington Scranton in a double header looking to improve its record.
In the first inning Beaver only let up one run. Beaver was able to hold Scarnton scoreless for the next two innings.
In the fourth inning Scranton would send three runners home. Beaver answered back from a run by Sunnie Liggett (Avella, PA/ Avella). But it wasnt enough momentum for Beaver to string runs together.
In the seventh inning Liggett doubled sending Mason DePetro (Coraopolis, PA/Cornell) home, but that would only make the game 6-2. Scranton would end up winning 6-2.
DePetro was an immpressive 3-3 at bat this game.
In the second match of the double header, Beaver lost 11-3. Beaver showed great improvement with its fielding and batting.
In the fifth inning being down 6-0, Beaver showed a great comeback. Beaver scored three runs in the fifth inning to get the spark they needed all game. Rachelle Charlier(Burgettstown, PA/ Burgettstown), Liggette, and DePetro all scored bringinh the game to 6-3.
With Beaver having the momentum, Scranton answered back with five runs of its own in the fifth inning.
Beaver lost 11-3, however Beaver's performance did not reflect the score.
The lady lions next match is April 14th away against Penn State Fayette at 2 p.m.
