Five Beaver Athletes Named USCAA All-Americans
Monaca, PA -- As the fall sports seasons come to a close and the USCAA hosts their respective national championships, a select group of athletes earn All-American honors.
This fall, Penn State Beaver had five athletes be named a USCAA All-American.
For Women's Volleyball, sophomore, Jenna Petrucci (New Castle, PA/Shenango) earnd an Honorable Mention award after previsouly being named 1st Team All-Conference in the PSUAC for her hard work this season.
Women's Soccer, in their inaugural season in the PSUAC, had two players earn USCAA honors. Freshman, Morgan Stillwagon (Freedom, PA/Freedom) was named as a 2nd Team All-American after earning 1st Team All-Conference was well as Newcomer of the Year in the PSUAC. Junior, Jessica Spina (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson) also eanred an Honorable Mention award after also earning a 1st Team All-Conference award.
Men's Soccer also had two players earn USCAA post-season honors while competing in the National Championship tournament. Junior, Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry) was named 2nd Team All-American after being named 1st Team All-Conference as well as the PSUAC Player of the Year. And Julius Illiano, a freshman from Harrisburg, PA, eanred an Honorable Mention award after previsouly earning 1st Team All-Confernce as well as Newcomer of the Year in the PSUAC.
