Beaver win 3-2 in overtime against Valley Forge

Phoenixville, PA - Beaver end their season on a high note, beating Valley Forge 3-2 in overtime.
The game kicked off with a goal from senior, Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/ Penn Hills), assisted by junior, Marcus Smith. Giving Beaver the lead for a while in the first half. Later on, Valley Forge made a come back scoring two goals before the end of the first half. The second half started off, Beaver were down 2-1, freshman, Julius Illiano (Harrisburg, PA/ Central Dauphin) found another goal for Beaver, tieing the game 2-2. The two teams could not be split after 90 minutes of play, thus forcing them to continue on into overtime. Beaver managed to win the game when sophomore, Brandon Golonka (Burgettstown, PA/ Burgettstown) scored the winnning goal of the game, this being his first goal of the season, with the assist from sophomore Logan Ridgley (Fombell, PA/ Riverside).
Beaver end their season on many successes, Smith was one of the top scorers for Beaver, with 21 goals in 14 games, being also the top assister with 9 assists. Illiano followed behind with 13 goals, and 7 assists. Sophomore, Rashitha Perera (Irvine, CA/ Northwood High School) had 59 saves out of 14 games. Beaver finish their season 8-2 in the PSUAC and 10-4-1 overall.
Beaver now wait to see who they will be facing in their first game of the playoffs.
