Beaver bring in another win, winning 4-0 against Penn State Greater Allegheny
Beaver win 4-0 against PSU GA

Unionville, PA - On Thursday, October 1, the men of the Penn State Beaver Soccer team brought in another win, this time against Penn State Greater Allegheny.
To kick off the month Beaver snagged another win by beating PSU Greater Allegheny 4-0.
Greater Allegheny did not give Beaver an easy victory. The first half started with nothing calls on each team, fair and unfair. Each team looking to break the silence, 19 minutes in, Julius Illiano (Harrisburg, PA/ Central Dauphin) scored the first goal of the match, he was unassisted. The match carried on with a lot of action but no goals. In the 34th minute the first yellow card of the match was given to Illiano. A minute had passed before the second yellow card was given out, this time to the team due to an unfair call on a goal. As the match progressed Beaver had gotten 3 more yellow cards.
Continuing on into the second half, each team was silent until 76 minutes in when Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/ Penn Hills) scored Beaver's second goal of the match, assisted by Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/ Perry). Wright got the momentum going, minutes later Ryan Christy (Burgettstown, PA/ Burgettstown) scored with another assist by Smith. Finishing out the match with a final goal was Illiano with a third assist by Smith. Overall, Beaver only had 10 fouls compared to GA's 13. Along with 10 saves over GA who only had 9.
Many leaders came out of the match, one including Smith who had 5 shots, 3 shots on goal, and 3 assits in the match. Following was Wright with 6 shots, 5 shots on goal, and 1 goal. Christy also got 1 shot, 1 shot on goal, and 1 goal. Lastly, Illiano came out on top as well, with 4 shots, 3 shots on goal, and 2 goals. Rashitha Perara (Irivine, CA/Northwood High School) was faced with 10 shots on goal and saved every single shot.
Beaver's next match is Saturday, October 3, against Penn State Mont Alto at 4 p.m.
