Beaver keeps win streak dominating WCCC
Penn State Beaver's Men Soccer win over WCCC 8-0

Youngwood, PA - Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer team traveled to WCCC Tuesday afternoon for a match that would keep their winning streak going!
Beaver took on WCCC to take an 8-0 win for the books. The team had a very eventful match with multiple scorers. 4 goals were scored in each half.
Freshman midfielder Alex Rectenwald (Pittsburgh, PA/ Chartiers Valley) kicked off the game with a goal within the first 20 minutes. Following him, senior Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/ Perry) scored just minutes later. Smith got the momentum going, after 15 minutes, freshman Ryan Christy (Burgettstown, PA/ Burgettstown) scored. Just before halftime, freshman Julius Illiano (Harrisburg, PA/ Central Dauphin) had a hard kick in past the oppositions goal keeper making the match 4-0 at halftime.
As the second half began, Smith eagerly scored Beaver's 5th goal of the afternoon. Rectenwald continued on not long after scoring his second goal of the match making it 6-0 in the 70 minute. Just before the match ended, Illiano evened out his goals by making a goal in the 80 minute making it also his second goal of the game. Smith however, scored the final and his third goal of the match, with a 3rd goal Smith got a hatrick for the second time this season.
Smith, Rectenwald, and Illiano had a busy match by not only scoring but had assists as well. Smith had a total of 1 assist, along with Illiano. Followed by Rectanwald who had 2 assists in the match. Sophomore Logan Ridgley (Fombell, PA/ Riverside) was another player who had an assist in the match. Sophomore Rashitha Perera (Irvine, CA/Northwood High School) and Freshman Samuel Sharpless (Conway, PA/ Freedom) had a combined 27 save shutout.
They are now 2-1 in the PSUAC and 3-3 overall. Beaver's next game is home against Penn State Worthingotn Scranton on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
