The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team took to the road in their conference opener, losing by a final score of 68-62.
The Penn State Beaver basketball team opened their conference schedule up by heading on the road to take on the men of Penn State Greater Allegheny. Beaver comes into this game on a three game losing streak as the team has struggled offensively during each game. The team hopes to shape up before this game and start their conference schedule out with a big win to get back on track.
The game was a hard fought battle between two teams that played very good defense in this one. Neither team really go their offenses going in the first half and it was a back and forth battle as Greater Alleghney was on top 35-33 going into the half. The second half was more of the same for both teams as once again Beaver played well on defense but just couldnt get their offense going and ended up coming up just short against a Greater Allegheny team that just played better in this one.
After losing to Greater Allegheny in their conference opener, Beaver had now lost four straight games. The team now sits at 0-1 in conference play and 3-4 overall. The team was lead in this game Freshman Dimetres Moore (Mesa, Az / Skyline) who scored a team high 19 points while hauling in 7 rebounds. The team will play next on Friday, December 2, at home against Penn State Hazelton. Game time is set for 8 pm.
