The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team traveled to Westminster College, taking on a good Westminster team that would hand Beaver their second loss early in the young season.
Penn State Beaver comes into this game against Westminster looking to get back on track after losing to Thiel College just a night before. The team had struggled offensively against Thiel, not making shots that they need to to stay on track. Beaver needs to come into their game against Westminster focused if they want to have any success offensively and get back to their winning ways.
Westminster started off this game with a lot of intensity, taking the lead right away and not giving it up once during the rest of the game. Beaver played a sloppy game all around in this one, not making their shots like they had in their first 3 games while recieving little help from their bench that scored only 14 points. The team shot an abismal 28% from the field in this game and were just out-played by a very good Westminster team, losing by a final score of 90-61.
Beaver lost this game tonight in a disappointing effort, losing big for their second loss of the season. The team now sits at 3-2 overall, while still looking to improve in time for conference play. Beaver was lead in this game by Senior Ignacio Alleyne (Stafford, VA / Colonial Forge) who lead the team in both points, tallying 18, and rebounds, hauling in 8 in the losing effort. The team will return to action on Tuesday, November 22, as the team travels to Chatham for a 5:30 pm game.
