Great team win over Penn State New Kensington
Beaver men win by a final score of 91-86

Monaca, PA -- Beaver gets a close win tonight over rival Penn State New Kensington.
It started off back and forth at first with each team matching each other shot for shot. Penn State Beaver started off the game displaying great ball movement. They also played excellent defense in the first half. GJ Boykin was stellar on defense throughout the game and played his much taller opponent really tough. He had countless rebounds and blocks. DJ Austin and Eric Gallupe had a great night from behind the arc. Lamont Wright displayed some beautiful moves in the lane and finished strong at the basket. Penn State Beaver had an amazing first half leading New Kensington by a score of 47-38.
Picking up right where they left off in the second half continuing their great defense, regardless of being outsized by their opponent. Eric Gallupe started heating up from downtown in the second half. Lamont Wright continued to dazzle in the second half in the lane. Ignacio Alleyne also had a really good game following shots and getting timely putbacks off the boards. As time was winding down New Kensington was trying to inch their way back into the game but some huge free throws by Lamont Wright put them up 88-83 with twenty four seconds left. Beaver held on to win a close one at the end 91-86.
Eric Gallupe lead Beaver with 22 points shooting 5-9 from behind the arc. Lamont Wright added 20 points to go along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. GJ Boykin had a fantastic game defensively as well as 10 points and an impressive 13 rebounds. Ignacio Alleyne added 19 points and 8 rebounds off the bench to help push them past New Kensington.
