Beaver fall short from Ohio Valley

Beaver fight back but just fall short against Ohio Valley losing 98-87.
The first quarter of the game was very close between both sides with Beaver keeping pressure on Ohio Valley. After the first 2 minutes the score was 6-6 before Ohio Valley pulled out a small lead but beaver staying with them all the way keep the game very interesting. A 3 pointer from Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry) made it 25-25 after just 10 minutes. Another 3 pointer from DJ Austin (East Liverpool, OH / East Liverpool) made it 30-30 after 13 minutes before Ohio built a small lead at the end of the first quarter leading 50-44.
At the start of the second quarter beaver scored two 3 pointers within the first 3 minutes keeping the score close at 59-52. Ohio in the next 4 minutes built a big lead against a very strong beaver side, getting the score to 73-57. The rest of the second quarter saw Beaver stage a very strong comeback, including three 3 pointers all from Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Hills). Beaver managed to score 35 points in the last 12 minutes of the game but it wasn't enough with a very close game ending 98-87.
Beavers leading point scorer was Smith scoring 24 with Wright close behind on 20.
Beaver return to action on Saturday, December 5th against Penn State Brandywine at 5 p.m.
