Lions Continue Winning Streak on Senior Night
Beaver wins, 102-71
Monaca, PA- On Saturday, Penn State Beaver hosted Penn State Scranton in their last game of the regular season.
In the first half, Scranton came out and immediately put 5 points on the board. Beaver's Chris Weathers (New Brighton, PA / New Brighton) answered and sparked a 6 point Beaver run. Beaver then took the lead and never looked back. Your Lions were up by 20 at the 8:53 mark and continued to build their lead into halftime, 59-25.
The second half wasn't much different, with Beaver on top the entire 20 minutes. Scranton out scored Beaver in the half 45-43, but Beaver's lead in the first half ultimately gave them the win. Beaver won the game by a final score of 102-70.
Beaver's top players were Sophomore Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, PA / Penn Hills) with 26 points, Senior Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver Falls) with 24 points and Weathers with 12 points. Miller also had 10 rebounds giving him a double-double for the night.
Beaver finishes the regular season with a conference record of 14-3 (19-6 Overall) and begins their journey to the PSUAC Championship on Wednesday, February 19th.
