In the first half, Beaver and Greater Allegheny went point for point for the whole 20 minutes. The lead would switch back and forth, with the largest lead only being two points. At the end of the half the score was 45-45 and had no indicator of which team would come out with a win in the second half.
At the start of the second half, Beaver came out and gained the first significant lead of 6 points. Beaver would stay in the lead up until the 4:37 mark when the score shifted to Greater Allegheny's favor. Greater Allegheny would keep their lead until the end winning the game 87-82.
