Beaver tops Greater Allegheny, remains undefeated in PSUAC

Monaca, PA - On Wednesday, the Penn State Beaver men's basketball team defeated Penn State Greater Allegheny and secured a 6-0 PSUAC record.
After struggling defensively in the first few minutes of the game, Beaver had a 7-point lead going into the break. In the second half, hot shooting gave the team the boost it needed to bury Greater Allegheny for the win.
Senior Dave McGarry (Poland High School/Poland, OH) had a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 13 boards. Junior Tyler Care (Linkin Park/Aliquippa, PA) came off the bench to add 19, and senior Billy Stoughton (Slippery Rock High School/Slippery Rock, PA) scored 17 points.
Beaver, now 6-7 overall, will host Penn State Brandywine at 8:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 21.
