Beaver wins a PSUAC game after beating Penn State New Kensington 7-3.
Russellton, PA - Beaver picks up a PSUAC win today after beating Penn State New Kensington 7-3. Beaver was able to string together 16 hits in today's game giving them a huge advantage over Penn State New Kensington's 9 hits. Beaver scored early starting in the 3rd inning and continuing to score in the 7th and 8th innings as well.
On the mound for Beaver was Freshman, Jacob Gresham, who pitched 6 innings, and in relief was Freshman, Aaron Stribling who finished the last 3 innings, while the gave up 0 runs and tallied 2 strikeouts. Senior, Stefan Romaniuk started the game off for Beaver at the plate and went 3 for 5 this game with an RBI and scoring a run, which was closesly followed by the second batter, Junior, Parker Walden, who went 2 for 5, having 2 RBI's and scoring 2 runs in their conference win. Sophomore, Matthew Cater went 3 for 4 scoring 2 runs for Beaver as well and helped produce runners for Beaver hitting 1 of 2 doubles for the team this game.
