2017-18 PSUAC All-Conference Award Winners Announced
Monaca, PA -- The PSUAC announced their women's and men's basketball all-conference award winners as well as the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award winners yesterday at the conference championship.
Penn State Beaver had three players recognized. Brittany Jackson, a senior on the women's basketball team, earned both PSUAC Player of the Year and earned a spot on the 1st Team. Jackson not only led her team, but led the PSUAC in scoring with 497 points as well as in total rebounds with 310. She was 2nd in the PSUAC in steals with 69.
Also earning honors on the women's team was sophomore, Tara McFadden, who was the recipient of the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award.
In men's basketball, Tavarski Wardlow was the recipient of the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award.
The John Fritz Sportsmanship Award is awarded to one student-athlete per team for each sport at each campus. This student-athlete demonstrates good sportsmanship in that she displays ethical, appropriate, polite and fair behavior while participating in athletic events and as a member of their team. They exemplify the Penn State Values of integrity, responsibility, excellence, respect, discovery and community.
