Ohio Native Chooses Penn State Beaver
A tri-sport athlete from East Liverpool, Ohio, Cyna Burton chooses Penn State Beaver to continue her career.
A middle infielder with experience in the outfield as well, Cyna had a .305 batting average scoring 12 runs and bring in 7 RBI's while tallying 8 stolen bases this season. For her efforts she earned 1st Team All District as well as the Coaches Award and was asked to participate in the Eastern District All-Star game.
She was also the captain of the basketball team where she also earned the Coaches Award and was a 3-year letter winner.
When Burton isn't on the field or court she enjoys spending time outdoors as an active member of the Outdoor Adventure Club as well as with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Cyna shines in the spotlight as her best high school memories were those when she needed to perform in the clutch for her team either making the perfect "swish" shot in basketball or batting in runs in a close softball game. She is looking forward to continuing to make those lasting memories at Penn State Beaver.
