Compton, California Native to Play Men's Basketball
The Penn State Beaver Men's Basketball Program is pleased to announce that Elon Lindsay from Lifeline Education Charter School (Compton, CA) has committed to continuing his education and basketball career on the Beaver campus.
The 6'5" power forward excelled on the basketball court as a senior where he averaged 10 points per game and 13 rebounds per game. In addition to his accomplishments on the floor, Elon was also the valedictorian of his class and was the recipient of the "Principals Honor Roll" throughout high school.
As a player, Elon stated his most memorable moment was: "The first time when I actually dunked in a game. It was such a memorable moment where I faced my fear of dunking on someone without getting hit and made the basket."
When asked about what he is most looking forward to on the Beaver campus, Elon said, " At Penn State Beaver, I look forward to a interactive learning experience with both faculty and my fellow peers."
Men's Basketball Coach Brian Bibey commented that, "We are happy that a player and student of Elon's caliber has decided to join our program. We cannot wait to watch him grow and are confident he will fit in nicely with our guys and be able to make an impact right away."
