The Penn State Beaver men's basketball program would like to announce the commitment of Dimetres Moore (Mesa, AZ) from Skyline High School. Dimetres has recently decided to continue his academic and playing career on the Beaver campus.
The all-time leading scorer in the history of his high school, Dimetres averaged 20.8 points per game as a senior to go along with 8.4 rebounds per game and 1.8 steals per game in the biggest classification in the state of Arizona. For his career, the 6-2 swingman averaged over 14 points and 6 rebounds per contest.
Known as a versatile athlete, Dimetres not only was a 3-year letterman in basketball, but he also qualified as a letterman 3 times in both baseball and football. As a basketball player, Dimetres was recently recognized as a second team all-city and second team all-region player. In addition, he was named as an Honorable Mention All-State player following his senior season.
When asked what he was most looking forward to on the Beaver campus, Dimetres stated,"I look forward to continuing my education and playing the sport I love at Penn State Beaver. When I visited the campus this past spring and meeting the coaching staff, players and faculty, I knew this is where I want to spend my next 4 years."
Men's Basketball Coach Brian Bibey says that, "We are extremely excited that Dimetres chose to continue his academic and basketball career on our campus. As a player, he's proven that he can score from the wing position in a number of different ways. As a teammate, there is no doubt that he will be a great fit with our guys and we look forward to having him as part of the program."
