Cheyenne Lopez Selects Penn State Beaver
The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions Women's Basketball Program is happy to announce its second commit for the 2016 class. Cheyenne Lopez from Roswell, New Mexico has decided that Penn State Beaver will be her school of choice to continue her academic and athletic career. "The Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball Program has been very successful over the last few years and it also seems like it is a fun program to be in," states Lopez. Cheyenne feels that her size and versatility will allow her to help the Lady Lions program be even more successful over the next few years. She also feels that her knowledge of the game will be an asset not only for herself but will allow her to be a great teammate as well.
Coach Moore says "Cheyenne has great size and is very agile. She will be able to help us in both half court and full court aspects of the game. She is a player that gives us great size while being able to play our style of basketball."
Academically Cheyenne feels that Penn State Beaver will be a great fit because she will be able to develop personal relationships with professors and get help when needed rather than just being a face in class. "I want to ensure I get the education that I deserve," she says. Aside from playing basketball, Cheyenne has also played softball throughout high school. In her free time she enjoys listening and dancing to music.
