Bio

Coach Price worked at Penn State Beaver for 19 years.  He started in the Fall of 1967, and was with the Athletic department until his departure in 1986.  He was hired to develop the physical education, intramural and athletic departments.  He was an assistant professor who taught health and physical education courses as well as continuing education courses.  He held a variety of positions in athletics, such as, Athletic Director, Intramural Director, Head Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coach, Head Baseball Coach, Head Softball Coach, as well as coaching golf, cross country, and cheerleading.  Along with others, he built the present gymnasium, baseball and softball fields.

He collected numerous honors during his time at Beaver.  He received the Robert J. Scannell Role of Honor recognition from the Commonwealth Campus Athletic Conference and numerous Coach of the year awards.  He also received the Beaver Campus outstanding faculty award and student affairs award.
