Alex Filippi is a graduate of Central Valley High School. He attended Penn State Beaver from 2009 to 2013 and played baseball while at Beaver.

While playing, he was a 4-time PSUAC All Academic, 3-time USCAA All-Academic, 3-time PSUAC All-Conference and a USCAA All America.  In 2012, his team won the PSUAC and qualified for the USCAA National tournament.   

After graduating from Beaver with a business degree, Alex returned to school to obtain a nursing degree and has worked in health care for the past 8 years. He now works as an assistant unit manager at AHN Hospital in Wexford.  In his spare time, Alex spends time with his wife Neeka and son AJ and still spends a lot of time with his PSU Beaver Baseball alumni friends.  Alex also works on charity events for the nonprofit, JP Recovery Foundation, in honor of his brother, John Paul.
