Beavers pull out another win making their streak 15 -0
Fayette, PA- Penn State Beaver Women's basketball hits the road as they face Penn State Fayette. The comeback from this away game was notorious as they beat Fayette for a second time with a score (77 - 55). Putting them at a winning streak of 15 games straight and an overall record of 17- 6. Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball is really maintaining their rhythm on the road to playoffs.
During the game Beaver team starts the game off strong creating a 12 point lead within the first 5 minutes of the game. They continue to keep this momentum as they play a great defense to keep Fayette at bay for the whole first period with the final score of the first period being 19 - 8. Kicking off the second period Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball continued to further their lead ending the second game at 37 - 15 ending the first half with a 22 point lead. Within the second half of the game Penn State Beaver dominated, keeping their lead. Although Fayette gave a tough fight as they tried to get back in the game Penn State Beaver prevailed securing another win with the final Score being 77-55.
With this knockout game a lot of the players on the Beaver Game contributed greatly. With first Claudia Siegfried(Wilkes-Barre, PA) scoring a strong 26 points throughout the game. Followed by first year Emery Black (New Braunfels,TX) who scored 13 points and had a great defensive game with a total of 10 rebounds 5 defensive and 5 offensive. Next was first year Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA) who also scored 13 points. Along with fourth year Alison Boykin (Canton, OH) who scored 7 points and also had a great defensive game with a strong 12 rebound, 8 defensive and 4 offensive. Lastly we have second year Makitah Logan (Pittsburgh, PA) with 6 points.
