Beaver Dominates PSUAC Competition Once Again Taking Down Wilkes-Barre
Monaca, PA - The Lions have had an amazing start to conference play as they continue to remain undefeated. Tonight was a big win over Penn State Wilkes-Barre to continue their winning streak. Beaver started off slow tonight giving up two early buckets to Wilkes-Barre. However once Beaver got into a grove, there was no stopping them. The Lions scored 20 points to Wilkes-Barre's 10 in the first quarter. The Lions kept their lead going into the second quarter and continued to show up and show out. The Lions scored 15 points to Wilkes-Barre's 12. The first half ended with Beaver up 35-22. The second half of the game was beautiful basketball for Beaver. They played great defense and worked the ball around the court on offense. This kept them in the lead, only allowing Wilkes-Barre to score 6 points in the third quarter, and 7 points in the fourth quarter. Beaver dropped 19 points in the third quarter and 27 in the fourth. The Lions continue their dominance defeating Wilkes-Barre 81-35.
Fourth year Kyra Seggeewiss (Calgary Alberta, Canada) put up a double-double tonight with 13 points and 11 rebounds. First year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) was another top scoerer for the Lions finishing with 19 points. First year Emery Black (New Braunsfel, TX) finished with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.
The Lions will be back at home to end their weekend, and semester, taking on Penn State Scranton. The game started at 1pm EST so be sure to come out and show your support or watch the game love on the Rise and Roar Network!
