Beaver bounces back with win over New Kensington 81-31
Beaver takes win over New Kensington with 50-point lead win
Monaca, PA - The Lady Lions took on Penn State New Kensington in a conference matchup. From the opening tip, the game was massively one sided as Beaver to an outstanding 23 point lead before New Kensington scored their first 2 points. The first quarter ended with beaver leading 23-6. The start of the second opened with New Kensington scoring first however the tables quickly turned back into Beaver's favor. The Lady Lion's quickly took back control over the game ending the half 43-17. Much like the first half, Beaver commanded the game in the third quarter, increasing their margin to 49 points to finish up the quarter 71-22. The fourth quarter was a much more back-and-forth game for both teams and very defense oriented. Neither team seemed to go on a consistent scoring run, but Beaver maintained the lead, finishing the game 81-31.
Senior Alexis Cross had 16 points, 3 rebounds, and shot 3/4 from 3 point range. Freshman Keira Baker had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Sophomore Aaliyah Booker had 12 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Sophomore Arbri Gillis had 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.
