Season Comes to an End for Beaver After Losing to DuBois
Monaca, PA - The Men's Basketball team was on the road for their final game of the season against Penn Sate DuBois. Beaver defeated DuBois just a couple of weeks ago 70-56. Beaver was looking to close their season with a win, but sadly that didn't happen.
Beaver started the first half of the game on a 10-0 run. Beaver remained in the lead for he entire first half, but DuBois was able to close the gap towards the end. At the end of the first half the score was 41-40 in Beaver's favor.
Beaver began the second half in the lead, but that quickly changed after DuBois took it from the, and extended the gap. Beaver was able to stay close to DuBois throughout the half, but could not overcome their lead. With just under two minutes left, DuBois wa up by 6 points. Beaver was able to get back within 4 points, but DuBois secured the win at the free throw line. Beaver's season ended with a 76-70 loss against DuBois.
Beaver had a rough season. They started off with a large losing streak, and got their first win at the end of the fall semester. Beaver's season ended at a 8-18 overall record and a 7-12 conference record.
Senior Izaiah Dickerson (Washington, DC) finished with 16 points, 2 steals, 2 assists, 1 block, and 6 rebounds. Senior Devon Johnson (Washington, DC) finished with 15 points, 2 steals, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. Senior Tre Johnson (Dayton, OH) finished with 10 points, 1 steal, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds. Sophomore Chris Green (Washington, DC) finished with 13 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds.
