Beaver wins tight game over Shenango 77-71
Lions take down Shenango in a road win
Shenango, PA - In their second to last regular season away game, Beaver took on Penn State Shenango. After previously winning big over Shenango 84-51 in their last meeting, Beaver came out with confidence. Early on in the first half, the game stayed closes as neither team seemed to gain a big advantage over the other. With 6:32 left on the clock, Beaver went down 20-26 before quickly regaining control and going up 35-30. The Lions began to settle down now as the half finished out 37-34. Going into the half, freshman Chris Green had 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.
The second half began a bit more one sided as Beaver took an 11 point lead with 13 minutes left in the game, leading 52-41. Shenango was down but not out, as they decreased the margin to 3 points, only being down 55-52 now with 10 minutes left. After 5 minutes of back and forth play, Beaver got into another quick rhythm increasing the lead to 11 points again with 1:04 left on the clock. In the final minutes, Shenango put up a great effort for an attempt at a late comeback but fell short as Beaver answered, with Beaver winning 77-71.
Senior Izaiah Dickerson had 26 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Freshman Chris Green had 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Senior Devon Johnson had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Senior Jeremy Redwine had 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.
