Monaca, PA- Penn State Beavers Men's Baseball play at home today against Penn State Greater Allegheny today in double header. Both games lead to a loss for the boys as they went up against a tough competitor in Penn State Greater Allegheny. Beaver gave it there all, but came up short.
Within the first game Penn State Beaver lost against Greater Allegheny 13-6. Beaver let up twio runs in the first inning and had a great start to the game. Greater Allegheny scored 6 runs in the first 2 innings. Beaver started to play hard and it was a great environment to be around. Beaver struggled late in the game and lost a rough game 13-6. 3rd year, Jericho Dela Cruz (Auburn, WA) had a great game with 1 hits and 2 RBI's. 2nd year, Chris Cann (Selden, NY) played well and finished the game with 1 run, 2 hits, and 1 RBI.
In the second game, Greater Allegheny took control quickly scoring 11 runs within the first three innings. Penn State Beaver struggled to get on base in the second game scoring one run. Beaver lost a bad game losing 18-1. 2nd year, Phillip Betz (Marrieta, CA) had some good hits late in the game as well as 3rd year, Tylik Rouse (Macon, GA). Beaver will be ready to play again tomorrow and will be ready to win!!
2nd year, Chris Cann (Selden, NY) won player of the game for today. Chris finished the day with 3 hits, 2 runs, and 1 RBI.
