Beaver's Battle leads to Loss against St. Cloud Technical and Community College
Vero Beach, FL - The Baseball team was back in action for Day 2 of Spring Training taking on St. Cloud Technical & Community College. This was not an easy day for Beaver. They battled hard, but could not overcome what St. Cloud threw at them.
The first inning started strong for Beaver who did not allow St. Cloud to score. St. Cloud came out in the bottom of the inning and left Beaver scoreless as well. The first inning was a tough battle and left both teams runless. St. Cloud came out swinging in the second inning scoring 4 runs and Beaver had no response scoring nothing. The rest of the game went like this for both Beaver and St. Cloud. St Cloud scored 1 run in the third inning, 2 runs in the fourth, 3 in the fifth, 1 in the sixth, and none in the seventh and eighth innings. Beaver packed their bags at the end of day 2 losing 11-0.
Freshman Phillip Betz (Murrieta, CA) was the player of the game getting a double off of one hit. The team had 4 hits this game coming from Tylik Rouse (Macon, GA), Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ), Matthew Cater (Monaca, PA), and Betz.
